Cozy Games Are the Best Way to End a Day
Not every game needs to spike your heart rate. Some of my favorite mobile sessions are the calm ones — ten minutes of quiet tapping before the lights go off.
Tiny Harvest Isle is my go-to. There's no fail state to speak of, no timer screaming at me. I plant a few things, craft a few things, rearrange my little island, and that's it. It's meditative.
Quiet adventures scratch the same itch. Hollow Lantern isn't a farm sim but it shares that unhurried calm — you wander, you examine, you solve a gentle puzzle, and the mood does the rest.
The key is games that don't demand anything of you. No streaks to maintain, no energy bars ticking down overnight. Just a small, pleasant thing to do with your thumbs while your brain winds down. We could all use more of those.
